The picture above is a cave painting of seals, recently found in the Cueva de Nerja in Spain.
They are currently believed to be the oldest known cave paintings; charcoal found next to the drawings has been dated as being 42,500 years old. This makes these images 10,000 years older than the ones at Chauvet Cave in France.
There is even some speculation that these paintings were made by Neanderthals, rather than Homo Sapiens.
